The speech recognition task is performed on
our central network. So data does migrate through the air to our
network.
What happens is we
download the contact names from your phone on to our server. When you
make a command your phone first connects our server over the internet.
We use the PIN/HS SN from your phone to link it your account. Then the
speech engine replies to your command and disconnects.
How much does it cost?
There are 4 ways to purchase Nuance Voice
Control. The cost is $6.00 per month no matter where you purchase NVC.
You can purchase NVC from the locations below:

4. Call Sprint Nextel at 888-211-4727 or
visit a local store and ask them to add Nuance Voice Control on to your
plan.
It takes 24 hours for us
to receive word from Sprint Nextel that a purchase has been made. So it
wont work right away when you purchase it from Sprint Nextel.
At
this time the only phones that works with bluetooth are the Blackberry
7130e and 8703e. The 7130e and 8703e make a phone call and you recorded
the audio file on our server. The other phone make a data connection to
our server and send the audio file over the internet to our server. We
can not access the bluetooth API of the other devices.
Why does it take so long to receive a response to my command?
Short commands should only take about 5 -15
seconds.
Longer commands such as emails are, generally, slower, this is because
it is a multiple pass process when sending them. Also, there is a limit
to the number of words you can say in an email -- 20 words. If you are
saying more than a sentence or two, the engine lowers your speed
significantly to perform higher accuracy and can take up to two minutes
to respond. Because emails are generally not immediately needed, we do
allow for more time to perform the recognition.
How do I make a group purchase?
Go to www.MobileVoiceControl.com then click on the purchase tab.
Select Multiple Users then click continue. Follow the instructions to
complete your purchase.
Once your purchase has been made you will receive an email with your
Group ID, Password and instructions.
Go to: www.mobilevoicecontrol.com/groups Type in your Group ID and
Password to log in.
Once logged in you can add or edit the PIN/HS SN numbers of each device
you want active.
Not getting my voice accurately We realize that our product does not work for everyone. However,
thousands of users use these features with better than 94% accuracy
ratings everyday. With that said there are many other factors that play
into the use of any speech recognition application.
1 Residual Background Noise -- We try to remove all background noise,
but being around others talking often complicates the use of the
product. Try to use the product in an environment with as little dynamic
background noise as possible. Car/air noise is static noise and we can
filter that out.
2. Make sure you are holding the device approximately 10 cm away from
your mouth. Additionally, make sure that your hand is not covering the
microphone.
3. Speak clearly and in a normal speaking tone. Believe it or not, the
application works better when you talk at your normal rate. This is
because the application learns your voice patterns as you go. To this
end, do not allow others to use NuanceVoiceControl on your device. Their
speech patterns will invalidate your profile.
4. Know the command syntax -- This is the most common reason for failed
response. People often say "Call" when they should say "Dial" or they
don't know the appointment syntax. For example, you cannot say: "Call
5143551515" the call command is reserved for calling names from your
contact list. In this case, the user should have said: "Dial 5143551515"

I get the error message "Invalid Pass Key"
The issue is most likely an invalid
PIN/HS SN in your registration. You probably registered through Handango
with an older devices Pin or typed in the wrong PIN/HS SN. In order to
signup for NuanceVoiceControl, you need a valid Pin for the device you
are loading NuanceVoiceControl onto.
If you ordered using Handango you need to go to
https://www.handango.com/GoPass.jsp?siteId=1 ->click "My Profile" ->
click "edit" -> change your Device Identifier to your PIN number.
If you ordered from Nextel you need to contact them to cancel your
subscription.
If you ordered using Handango you will need to go to:
https://www.handango.com/GoPass.jsp?siteId=1 Log into your Handango
Profile and then into Subscription Products and click Cancel on our
product.
This will cancel your subscription.
To remove our application from your device:
Blackberry Device: Go to Your Options->Applications or Options->Advanced
Options->Applications and delete VoiceControl
Palm Devices: Go to our program in your Programs list and then
Menu->Delete.
Windows Devices: Start-> Settings->
System ->Remove Programs->MVC MobileVoiceControl.

I replaced my old phone. How do I install NuanceVoiceControl on my new
phone?
Just follow the
instructions to download NuanceVoiceControl on to your new phone and it
should start working. It will recognize your phone number and link it to
your account with us.

Does NuanceVoiceControl work with Direct Connect?
NuanceVoiceControl does not support the
direct connect function. Direct connect calls must be made in the
default manner.
